THE STORY Jackie Moon is the owner, promoter, coach and star player of the Flint Michigan tropics, a team in the American Basketball Association (ABA). It is 1976 and, before the ABA is dissolved, the National Basketball Association plans to merge with the best teams of the ABA. The tropics are the worst team in the league, so Mr Moon has to start to motivate them a heck of a lot more if they are going to get anywhere near NBA-standard. However, because he isn't exactly the star player that he pretends to be, or even the brightest bulb in the box, this proves to be one of the most difficult things that he's ever had to do. Then again, maybe he'll be able to find a good trick or two under that big afro of his.

THE BUZZ As with all Will Ferrell flicks, you're going to piss your pants laughing. He might seem like a silly guy who just prances around, making people laugh, but it takes a very smart guy to appear so silly to (almost) the whole world. You would be wise to empty your bladder before you watch this movie.
